Join us for a one-hour guided walking tour of the lush Nobelius Heritage Park, presented by Barrie Gallacher. This event is part of the Australian Heritage Festival.
In 1886, Finnish horticulturalist, Carl Axel Nobelius, purchased 63 acres of land and established the Gembrook Nurseries, more commonly known as the C. A Nobelius & Sons Nursery.
Carl spent several years clearing, cultivating and planting, eventually establishing the nursery as the largest fruit and ornamental tree exporter in the southern hemisphere. It grew to occupy around 280 acres, with over one million saleable trees by 1905. Many of the original trees planted by Carl still stand today. Learn more about Carl Axel Nobelius and the Nobelius Nursery.
Free event, although registrations are recommended.
